CTG Scholarship as a Service Program
Most scholarship owners quickly realize running a scholarship program requires much more work than they originally pictured. Countless hours can be poured into addressing every aspect of a scholarship program, making it difficult to effectively manage and scale. CTG is excited to finally open our Scholarship as a Service model to CTG members. The CTG SaaS model will alleviate the majority of the work and responsibility required to run a scholarship while allowing you to maintain full control over your Axies. For 15% of the revenue, you will be able to plug in your current or new scholarship into the CTG ecosystem. We will also be initially offering a 5% discount for early adopters within the CTG community. Percentages will be locked in forever once you officially join the program. In other words, if you get in at 10%, you will never pay more than 10% no matter how high the fees go in the future.
Overview
Your responsibilities as an account owner would include creating and setting up the accounts, swaping Axies to balance teams, sending team upgrades, or anything that requires access to the private keys. Once the team is created and the information is recorded, a vetted applicant will be onboarded to the account and will gain access to over 20 scholar Discord channels, one-on-one and group training, in-house tournaments, incentives, giveaways, and more. Discounts will be available for existing programs with more than 50 accounts.
Service Details
Vetting and Onboarding
Vetting can be one of the hardest parts of this business to do well. The CTG Scholarship has a track record of only one ban in over a year in operation. In order to ensure the safety of our Axies from bans, we cross-check numerous data points against everyone who has applied for a scholarship as well as a blacklist. CTG also checks social data points, requires KYC, and will be implementing more skill based screening processes once a free-to-play version of the game is released.
CTG will onboard the scholars to your accounts and provide all the information needed to get started. Once the scholars are onboarded, we will monitor their earnings, send warning messages to those earning below the quota, and remove the inactive and persistently low-earning scholars. CTG will let you know when someone is eligible to be removed from the program, but it will ultimately be up to the account owner whether or not to remove any scholar with the exception of cases with suspected multi-accounting.
Account Managers
CTG will provide experienced players to oversee your scholarship accounts. Spanish, Indonesian, and Filipino account managers will be provided to remove some of the language barriers involved with managing scholars. Other languages will be added as the program grows and matures. CTG will do its best to pair the language of the scholar with that of the account managers. The assigned account manager will answer direct messages from your scholars, handle day-to-day issues, provide extra training, and enforce the rules set by the account owner as well as the broader CTG scholarship program.
Training
With the game moving more and more toward a skill-based earnings model, training will only become more important for scholarships. Quality training can make a big difference to both the manager and the scholar’s bottom line. CTG offers training in both Spanish, Portugese, Indonesian, and Filipino; providing much-needed content in the most common native languages for scholars. CTG offers both private one-on-one training sessions as well as public group sessions. CTG also provides access to PvP specific chats and higher-level training for scholars that rank high enough to receive the Semi-Pro tag. In addition to training, CTG managers and trainers will notify the owner of team balancing recommendations to make sure scholars have competitive teams that can reach an MMR of at least 1,200. This can be very useful as the meta changes over time, specially as we transition to Origins.
Community Engagement
It’s important to keep scholars engaged in order to promote an active and healthy community and to maintain a lower turnover ratio. CTG has proudly cultivated one of the lowest turnover rates in the game. With a skilled-based earnings model, being able to retain your top earners is more important than ever.
One of CTG’s most popular community engagement strategies is our “Axie Upgrade Program”. An Axie Upgrade is simply adding a high-level Axie to the scholar’s account. This allows managers to allocate their best weapons towards the better performing players and makes the game more enjoyable for the scholar. There are two ways players can earn an Axie Upgrade, one is by being one of the top earnings during any given month, or second, by finishing a season as one of the top-ranked scholars. Scholars are only eligible for one Axie Upgrade to ensure a fair distribution. The recorded upgrades will be reset once Origins is fully released.
If a scholar is ranked in the top 1% of active users at the end of the season, they will qualify for the CTG Semi-Pro team. Becoming a Semi-Pro gives the scholar access to higher-level training sessions, more exclusive tournaments, and one Axie swap each month provided by the account owner. In rare cases a scholar may also make it to the CTG eSports team. Being an official member of the eSPorts team provides access to the best weapons, most prestigious tournaments, and in the near future we will be implementing a unique revenue sharing model just for eSports. CTG also hosts in-house scholar tournaments, contests, and weekly SLP giveaways.
Community Experience
The experience of the community can be an extremely valuable resource for both scholars and account owners. By utilizing the CTG Scholarship as a Service Program you will be able to tap into the collective knowledge of the CTG mods, managers, and general community. Whether it’s about the game, crypto, NFTs, or life, the existing community can relieve a lot of the tedious day-to-day questions owners may face.
In a continuously evolving game such as Axie Infinity, being able to adapt to changes within the game can also be a tedious endeavor. With years of experience in the world of Axie Infinity, CTG is well-positioned to predict and adjust to changes within the game.
Tools
CTG can provide tools to help you manage your scholarship including an optional automated cashout bot, dashboards with monthly earnings data, custom-built accounting spreadsheets, as well as general advice on third-party tools. CTG recommends using LampAndMax’s Axie Bot for automated cashouts. Owners may set up their own bot within the CTG discord. Alternatively, you may connect your accounts to the existing bot which would save time setting up but require you to share your private seed phrases. There is an automatic 1% donation on each withdrawal that goes directly to the bot developers. Managers are free to use any third-party tools that adhere to the Axie terms of service. In order to give account owners a degree of freedom, you will have the option to create a private chat room inside the CTG Discord server just for your scholars. When CTG onboards your scholars they will add them to your private room so you can make specific announcements, giveaways, incentives, and cashout methods for your scholars.
Scholarship Rules and Flexibility
There are only a couple of rules there are non-negotiable. Since CTG is dedicated to providing a fair revenue split for scholars, account owners can not charge more than 40% of the earned SLP. Account owners must also do their best to provide quality Axies for earned upgrades and perform Axie swaps for balancing and Semi-Pros. Your scholarship accounts are completely under your control. Any financial decision regarding your assets is up to you, including selling accounts or taking outside investments to expand your revenue.
